Farmcrowdy has been recognized as one of the BusinessDay’s Top 25 Most Innovative Companies & Institutions in Nigeria.
The maiden edition of the award event which held on April 28, 2017 was organized by BusinessDay, publishers of the BusinessDay newspapers and organizers of BusinessDay Conferences, an annual agricultural summit.
According to the organizers, the Top 25 Most Innovative Companies & Institutions in Nigeria award is one which recognizes and honours the organizations that have developed the most inventive and ground-breaking products, ideas and services in 2016.
Following recognition as the Most Innovative in Agriculture Funding, Farmcrowdy’s mission is to end poverty in Africa by empowering one farmer at a time has received a positive push.
Speaking after the occasion, Farmcrowdy CEO, Mr. Onyeka Akumah, said, “We are really honoured to have been recognized as an innovative company in Nigeria. Although we did not win the award, we celebrate Sahel Capital, and are motivated to keep being innovative while empowering rural farmers.”
Sahel Capital was awarded as the Most Innovative in Agriculture Funding.
With the recognition, Farmcrowdy is encouraged to expand its operations by giving more Nigerians the opportunity to tap into Agricultural opportunities through connecting more farms sponsors with more farmers in real time, for the purpose of producing high-quality food while empowering small-scale farmers to grow their capacity in food production.
