Quartz Africa Innovators, an annual series identifying some of the most ambitious and imaginative minds on the continent just released the 2018 list of African Innovators and guess what? Our amazing CEO, Onyeka Akumah made the list.
Described as the “30 movers and thinkers”, the list consists of 30 individuals selected from different countries within Africa who have contributed immensely to the developmental progress of African countries in a wide range of fields including agriculture, healthcare, education, technology, finance, entertainment and more.
According to an article published by Quartz Africa about an hour ago, “They all have one thing in common: a burning drive to make an impact on their communities, countries—and ultimately the continent.”
In the words of Onyeka Akumah, he said “I’m humbled by the selection to join such a reputable list of people making an impact on the African continent. This is a great honor and I would like to say thank you, not just for me, but my team who help me do what I do.”
This global recognition is coming just a few weeks after our CEO, Onyeka Akumah was presented with an award for being one of the 100 (Under 40) Most Influential Young Persons in West Africa.
Others who made this list include Bibi Bakare-Yusuf, Hilda Moraa, Newton Owino, Tokini Peterside, Charles Rotimi, Nora Shawki, Conrad Tankou amongst others.
From all of us at Farmcrowdy, we say Congratulations Boss!!!!
